Entering Telephone Numbers

Entering Telephone Numbers
The telephone number indicates which digit sequence a caller must dial from the local
telephone network in order to initiate the analogue connection. The telephone number is
allocated by the network provider of the analogue connection.
The entry can be made as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External analogue port (only COMpact 3000 analogue)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorisation
– Configured prefixes (country prefix and local area code)
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > External numbers.
2. In the list field at the top, select the analogue connection.
A page opens for configuring the analogue connection.
3. Open the page Analogue connection > Telephone numbers.
Note: The entry is also provided during the quick configuration using the
configuration wizard.
4. In the Telephone number entry field, enter the digit sequence that you received from
your computer network provider. The following entries are possible:
Up to 12 digits
Digits
5. In the Name entry field, enter a name for the telephone number. The following entries
are possible:
Up to 16 digits
Digits and characters
Note: The name is used for display purposes on the system telephone.
