Available Bus Variants for the Installation of an Internal S

Extended Passive Bus

The extended passive bus with up to 4 wall sockets at the end is suited for the connection of

several end devices at large distances. Cable lengths of up to 500 m are supported. For this

bus variant, the wall sockets are connected on the last 35 m. The first 465 m remain free. The

terminators at the internal S

port have to be switched on. See the following figure.

Point-to-Point Wiring

The point-to-pint wiring with a single wall socket at the end is suited for the connection of a

single end device at a very large distance. It supports cable lengths of up to 1000 m. The termi-

nators have to be switched on at the internal S

port. See the following figure.
