Configuring CLIP Amplification

Note: By selecting the No CLIP information evaluation option, the data
sent by the network provider is not passed on to the internal subscribers.

Configuring CLIP Amplification
The amplification of the CLIP information indicates the number of decibels all audio signals are
increased or decreased by the PBX while receiving CLIP information.
The configuration can be made as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External analogue port (only COMpact 3000 analogue)
– CLIP service attribute enabled with the network provider (telephone number display)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorisation
– Expert view (click
– Configured prefixes (country prefix and local area code)
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > External numbers.
2. In the list field at the top, select the analogue connection.
A page opens for configuring the analogue connection.
3. Open the page Analogue connection > Expert configuration.
4. In the Amplification list field under CLIP, select one of the following options:
-12 dB to -1 dB: While receiving CLIP information, the PBX reduces all audio
signals by -12 to -1 decibels.
0 dB: The PBX does not change the audio signals while receiving CLIP infor-
mation.
+1 dB to +12 dB: While receiving CLIP information, the PBX increases all
audio signals by +1 to +12 decibels.
