Switching Busy on Busy On/Off
Busy on Busy
If a call is already in progress over one of your own external telephone numbers, the "Busy on
Busy" function prevents another external call to this telephone number from being signaled on
the internal subscribers selected in call distribution (another caller receives the busy tone, even
if call waiting is enabled on the subscriber speaking).
This is meaningful when there is only one person present in the office, and this person would
like to make calls undisturbed. Any other callers are given the impression through Busy on
Busy that no one is present.
Switching Busy on Busy On/Off
Switching this on/off can be done as follows:
• Separately for external telephone numbers
• Separately for configurations
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorisation
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Call distribution > Create call distribution.
Across the table, all of the separate external telephone numbers entered are
displayed.
Note: Click
telephone numbers. Click
2. Select or clear the Busy on Busy check box in the column of the telephone number
in question.
Enables Busy on Busy.
Disables Busy on Busy.
