Fax Transfer

The fax function of the PBX supports fax transfer in combination with a corresponding PC appli-
cation. The required Auerswald Fax printer driver has to be installed on the PC used and the
fax transfer function has to be purchased and activated in the Upgrade Center.
The outgoing fax is saved on the storage medium for the used fax box and the fax transfer is
controlled with the corresponding fax ID in the background by the PBX. If the destination of the
fax cannot be reached (busy or no reply), two further dial-up attempts will automatically be
made by the PBX.
For transferring and receiving faxes only one channel is available, i.e. only one fax can be
transferred or received at the same time.
Configuring the PIN for Fax Transfer
The configuration can be made as follows:
• Separately for fax boxes
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorisation
– Fax transfer function purchased and activated in the Upgrade Center
1. Open the page FUNCTIONS > Voice mail/fax boxes > Boxes.
2. Click in the line of the corresponding fax box.
3. In the PIN for fax transfer entry field, enter the PIN for fax transfer. The following
entries are possible:
