Configuring the Connection Type for the VoIP Account

• Separately for VoIP accounts
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External VoIP channel (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and activated in
the Upgrade Center)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorisation
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > External numbers.
2. In the list field at the top, select the VoIP connection in question.
A page opens for configuring the VoIP connection.
3. Open the page VoIP connection > Name and settings.
Note: The configuration is also provided during the quick configuration using
the configuration wizard.
4. In the list field at the top, select the account in question by its name.
5. Enter the authorisation ID in the Authorization ID entry field.
Note: You may only enter anything in this field when an authorisation ID has
been allocated by the VoIP provider.

Configuring the Connection Type for the VoIP Account
The connection type provided by the VoIP provider must be configured for the VoIP account.
A VoIP account can be operated in the following connection types:
• Point-to-multipoint connection: A VoIP account that supports up to ten whole VoIP
telephone numbers (multiple subscriber numbers (MSNs)).
• Point-to-point connection: A VoIP account that supports a PBX base number (serial,
head, basis number) and up to ten extension numbers (DDIs).
