Configuring the STUN Server for Operation as a Remote Extension
The configuration can be made as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– Support for public DNS mapping by the router on the PBX network
– Rerouting of port 5060 to the IP address of the PBX in the router
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorisation
– A configured DNS server and, if necessary, an HTTP proxy server
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Voice over IP (VoIP) > Settings.
2. Select or clear the STUN server check box under Connection to external VoIP
subscriber.
Enables the STUN server.
Disables the STUN server. (No other action is required.)
3. Enter the STUN server in the IP address or URL entry field under Connection to
external VoIP subscriber. The following entries are possible:
IP address with a range of 0 to 255 (example: 103.103.103.103)
URL (example: www.stunserver.de)
4. Enter the associated port number (port) in the Port entry field under Connection to
external VoIP subscriber. The following entries are possible:

Internal VoIP Subscriber Status Overview
The column Status on the page CONFIGURATION > Internal numbers > VoIP subscribers
shows you whether the registration of a VoIP subscriber was successful. The overview of the
internal VoIP subscriber status gives you a more detailed view.
The status of the VoIP subscriber is indicated by a colored dot.
