Heat coil resistance:
55 ± 2Q at 20°C (68°F)
Thermo-unit
Thermo-unit changes its resistance in a way
that at higher temperatures, it has less resist-
ance and thus passes more current. When
more current flows to the coil in the engine
temperature gauge, the armature to which the
needle is attached is attracted by the in-
creased magnetic field. In this way, the needle
indicates the temperature.

Resistance de serpentin:

Sonde thermique
La resistance de la sonde thermique diminue
lorsque sa temperature augmente; l'intensite
du courant la traversant est alors plus elevee.
Quand l'intensite du courant passant dans le
serpentin augmente, le serpentin se dilate et
entraine le deplacement de l'aiguille qui y est
fixee.

La unidad termica varfa su resistencia, de
modo que a mayor temperatura tiene menor
resistencia y, por consiguiente, pasa mas
corriente. Cuando fluye mas corriente a la
bobina en el medidor de temperatura del
motor, el inducido al cual esta fijada la aguja
es atraido por et campo magnetico incre-
mentado. De este modo, la aguja indica la
temperatu ra.
