Shift Lock System Circuit Troubleshooting (cont'd)
29. Check for continuity between transmission range
switch connector terminal No. 10 and body ground.

Is there continuity?
YES

NO −

30. Test the transmission range switch (see page

Is the switch OK ?
YES − Go to step 31.
NO − Replace the transmission range switch
(see page 14-291).
31. Connect the HDS to the DLC.
32. Check the APP SENSOR in the Data List with the
HDS. Do not press the accelerator.
Is the accelerator pedal position sensor opening
11 % and above, or the sensor voltage 1.60 V and
above?
YES − Check the APP SENSOR (see page 11-279).

NO Substitute a known-good PCM (see page 14-8)
and recheck.
