Shift Lever Housing Replacement

Special Tools Required

KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014

Available through the Honda Tool and Equipment

Program; call 888-424-6857

• Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to

avoid damage when removing components.

• Take care not to scratch the center console,

dashboard, and related parts.

1. Remove the center console panel (see page 20-145).

2. Remove the harness clamps.

3. Remove the cotter pin (A), the washer (B), and the

4. Remove the shift lever assembly (A) from the shift

cable (B) and the select cable (C).

5. Unlock the retainer (A).

6. Rotate the socket holder retainer (B)

counterclockwise (C) until it stops, and push the

retainer lock (D) into the socket holder retainer to

lock the retainer.

7. Slide the socket holder (E), and the shift cable (F)

out of the shift cable bracket (G). Do not remove the

shift cable by pulling the shift cable guide (H).
