Clutch master cylinder: Removal - Refitting
D91, and PK4, and LEFT-HAND DRIVE
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Check the condition of the seals.
a The cut that receives the "bayonet" connection on
the bulkhead must be clean, free of grease and with-
out any burrs.
a The routing of the supply pipe must always ascend
from the master cylinder to the reservoir, as any low
points may cause air pockets.
Any pinching of the pipe is prohibited.
a Dismantling the components of the master cylinder
is prohibited.
WARNING
Do not remove the blanking plugs from each
component until the last moment.
Also, do not remove the components from their
packaging until they are to be fitted to the vehi-
cle.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Connect the supply pipe to the master cylinder.
a Refit the clutch master cylinder anti-clockwise using
the socket (Emb. 1797).
a Connect the clutch control pipe on the slave cylinder
side.
a Press the retaining clip of the clutch control pipe on
the master cylinder.
a Connect the clutch master cylinder ball joint on the
clutch pedal.
a Connect the brake fluid reservoir supply pipe.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Clip:
- the clutch circuit pipe on the electric coolant pump
support,
- the bonnet unlocking cable on the electric coolant
pump support.
a Connect the electric coolant pump connector.
a Refit the « support - electric coolant pump » assem-
bly.
a Refit:
- the dashboard lower trim on the driver's side (see
Dashboard lower trim: Removal - Refitting)
(57A, Interior equipment),
- the max fuse box,
- the air filter unit (see Air filter unit: Removal - Re-
fitting) (12A, Fuel mixture),
- the protection and switching unit (see Protection
and Switching Unit: Removal - Refitting) (87G,
Engine compartment connection unit),
- the battery tray (see Battery tray: Removal - Re-
fitting) (80A, Battery),
- the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refitting)
(80A, Battery).
a Bleed the clutch circuit (see 37A, Mechanical com-
ponent controls, Clutch circuit: Bleed, page 37A-
47) .
a Refit the engine undertray.
