MECHANICAL COMPONENT CONTROLS
Manual gearbox control cable: Removal - Refitting
PK4 or TL4, and RIGHT-HAND DRIVE
- the cable sleeve stops .
a Remove the nuts (10) from the gear control unit.
a Unclip the control cable on the gearbox at:
- the anchoring ball joint (11) using an open-jawed
spanner,
- from the cable sleeve stop (12) .
a Lift the passenger side carpet.
a Remove the polystyrene under the carpet.
a Remove:

- the bulkhead seal bolts (13) ,
- the control cables.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Fit:
- the control cables,
- the bulkhead seal bolts.
a Tighten the bulkhead seal bolts.
a Refit the polystyrene under the carpet.
a Position the passenger side carpet.
a Clip:
- the gearbox control cable sleeve stops on the gear-
box,
- the anchoring ball joints of the gear control cables

onto the gearbox using pliers.
