MECHANICAL COMPONENT CONTROLS
Master cylinder: Removal - Refitting
a Remove:
- the brake fluid reservoir bolt (5) on the master cyl-
inder,
- the brake fluid reservoir,
- the brake pipes (6) on the master cylinder, after
you have marked them,
- the master cylinder nuts (7) on the brake servo,
- the master cylinder.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Always replace the master cylinder seals (8) .
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED

a Line up the master cylinder with the brake servo so
that the pushrod goes into the master cylinder hous-
ing.
a Torque tighten the master cylinder nuts (20 N.m)
on the brake servo.
a Refit the brake pipes.
a Torque tighten the brake pipes (14 Nm).
a Refit the brake fluid reservoir onto the master cylin-
der.
a Torque tighten the brake fluid reservoir bolt (7
N.m).
a Fit the max fuse box.
a Tighten the max fuse box bolt.
PK4 or TL4
a Connect the clutch master cylinder pipe on the brake
fluid reservoir.
a Connect the connector on the brake fluid reservoir.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit the air filter housing (see Air filter unit: Re-
moval - Refitting) (12A, Fuel mixture).
a Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
