MECHANICAL COMPONENT CONTROLS
Manual gearbox control cable: Removal - Refitting
PK4 or TL4, and RIGHT-HAND DRIVE
a Clip:
- the control cable sleeve stops (14) onto the control
unit,
- the anchoring ball joint (15) onto the control unit us-
ing pliers,
- the anchoring ball joint by pressing the button (16)
on the control unit.
a Fit the control unit.
a Refit and finger tighten:
- the gear control unit nut (4) ,
- the gear control unit nuts (1) (2) (3) .
a Torque tighten in order the gear control unit nuts
(21 N.m).
a Adjust the control unit (see 37A, Mechanical com-
ponent controls, Gear control unit: Adjustment,
page 37A-109) .
a Check that the system and gear selection are work-
ing correctly.
II - FINAL OPERATION.
a Clip on the left-hand air duct.
a Refit the airbag computer protector.
a Clip the wiring onto the airbag computer protector
and the control unit.
a Refit the control unit soundproofing.
a Clip the wiring onto the control unit.
a Clip the carpet at the cutting point.

a Refit:
- the middle air distribution duct (see Rear air distri-
bution duct: Removal - Refitting) (61A, Heating
system),
- the central console (see Centre console: Remov-
al - Refitting) (57A, Interior equipment),
- the gear lever knob.
