Gear control unit: Adjustment

II - ADJUSTMENT OPERATION
a Unlock the clip (5) using a screwdriver.
Note:
The external control unit lever and the multifunc-
tion switch on the gearbox must be in position D.
a Check the position of the multifunction switch at D.
a Lock the clip (5) .
a Engage several gears in order to check that the clip
is correctly secured in its housing.
III - FINAL OPERATION
LEFT-HAND DRIVE
a Refit the air filter housing (see Air filter unit: Re-
moval - Refitting) (12A, Fuel mixture).
a Refit the control unit soundproofing.
a Clip the carpet at the cutting point.
a Clip the wiring onto the control unit.
a Place the gear selector in position R.
a Refit:
- the rear centre air duct above the soundproofing,
- the clip from the rear centre air duct above the
soundproofing,
- the central console (see Centre console: Remov-
al - Refitting) (57A, Interior equipment),

- the gear lever knob.
a Turn the ring on the gear lever knob a sixteenth of a
turn.
