Collecting System Information

■ Collection Destination

To retrieve debug log to an external location from the device, use a USB memory device, FTP
server or SST (Ver. 4.41 or later).
● Collection Method
Retrieve debug log from the machine by any of the following methods.
• Make the machine recognize the USB memory device. Select the following in service mode
Lev2: COPIER > FUNCTION > SYSTEM > DOWNLOAD; and click OK.
• Start the machine with the 2 and 8 keys and use SST on a PC with the network cable
connected to transfer the debug log.
• Start the machine with the 2 and 8 keys and transfer the debug log to a USB memory
device that stores the system of the machine.

NOTE:
When the data is sent to the USB memory device:
USB memory where the system software for this machine has been registered using
the SST.

■ Manual Saving by Holding Down the Counter + 1.2.3

1. Reproduce the error.
2. Hold down the [Counter] button (10 sec. or longer).
3. Press 1 on the numeric keypad.
4. Press 2 on the numeric keypad.
5. Press 3 on the numeric keypad. (UI is locked at this stage) The machine starts
generation of the file that was converted from Log data on the HDD into text-based data.
The screen does not change even though you press the OK button on the touch panel of the
