Exporting to DGN

1 Click File menu
2 In the Export dialog, for Save In, navigate to the target folder for the exported files.
3 For Files of Type, select the DGN file format.
NOTE The DGN file format supports MicroStation version 7. If you are using a later version, export
to DWG format. See
4 If you are exporting a single view, do the following:
a Under Naming, select Manual (Specify file name), or select Automatic - Long (Specify prefix)
or Automatic - Short to use an automatically generated file name. See
Files on page 1278.
b Under Range, select Current View.
5 If you are exporting multiple views and sheets, do the following:
a Under Range, select Selected Views/Sheets.
b Click
c In the View/Sheet Set dialog, select the views and sheets to export, and click OK.
d Under Naming, select Automatic - Short to use a short prefix for the names of the exported
files, or select Automatic - Long (Specify prefix) to use a longer prefix. See

6 To specify export options, click Options, select the desired options, and click OK.
For DGN files, you can specify the following options: Layer Settings and Enable DGN Template
File. See Export Options
NOTE When you export (to DGN format) a 3D view that contains solid geometry, the geometry
always exports as a polymesh.
7 In the Export dialog, click Save.
Revit Architecture exports the selected views and sheets to DGN files and places them in the target folder.

Exporting to SAT

1 Click File menu
2 In the Export dialog, for Save In, navigate to the target folder for the exported files.
3 For Files of Type, select the SAT file format.
4 If you are exporting a single view, do the following:
a Under Naming, select Manual (Specify file name), or select Automatic - Long (Specify prefix)
or Automatic - Short to use an automatically generated file name. See

b Under Range, select Current View.
