Multicast Source Discovery Protocol (MSDP)
Multicast source discovery protocol (MSDP) connects multiple PIM Sparse-Mode (PIM-SM) domains together.
MSDP peers connect using TCP port 639. Peers send keepalives every 60 seconds. A peer connection is reset after 75
seconds if no MSDP packets are received. MSDP connections are parallel with MBGP connections.
FTOS supports MSDP commands on the E-Series, S4810, or Z-Series Dell Force10 platforms.
