Usage
This command is available for physical interfaces and port-channel interfaces on the E-Series.
Information

ip route

Assign a static route to the switch.
C-Series, E-Series, S-Series, Z-Series, S4810
Syntax
ip route vrf {vrf instance} destination mask {ip-address |
interface [ip-address]} [distance] [permanent] [tag tag-value]
To delete a specific static route, use the no ip route destination mask
{address | interface [ip-address]} command.
To delete all routes matching a certain route, use the no ip route destination
mask command.

Introduced on the E-Series.
NOTE: This command is not supported on default VLAN (the default vlan-id
command).
(OPTIONAL) E-Series Only: Enter the keyword vrf followed by the
VRF Instances name to tie the static route to the VRF instance.
Enter the IP address in dotted decimal format of the destination
device.
Enter the mask in slash prefix formation (/x) of the destination
device's IP address.
Enter the IP address in dotted decimal format of the forwarding
router.
Enter the following keywords and slot/port or number information:
For a 1-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
GigabitEthernet followed by the slot/port information.
For a loopback interface, enter the keyword loopback
followed by a number from zero (0) to 16383.
For the null interface, enter the keyword null followed by
zero (0).
For a Port Channel interface, enter the keyword port-
channel followed by a number. For the C-Series and S-
Series, the range is 1 to 128. For the E-Series, the range is 1 to
255 for TeraScale and 1 to 512 for ExaScale.
For a SONET interface, enter the keyword sonet followed by
the sonet followed by the slot/port information.
