SROS Command Line Interface Reference Guide
snmp-server enable traps
Use the snmp-server enable traps command to enable all Simple Network Management Protocol
(SNMP) traps available on your system. Use the no form of this command to disable SNMP traps.
Variations of this command include:
snmp-server enable traps
snmp-server enable traps snmp
Syntax Description
<trap type>
snmp
Default Values
By default, there are no enabled traps.
Usage Examples
The following example enables the SNMP traps:
ProCurve(config)#snmp-server enable traps snmp
5991-2114
Optional. Specifies the type of notification trap to enable. Leaving this option blank
enables ALL system traps.
Optional. Enables a subset of traps specified in RFC 1157.
The following traps are supported:
coldStart
warmStart
linkUp
linkDown
authenticationFailure
