snmp-server user
Use the snmp-server user command to configure Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) users to
control access to SNMP information. Use the no form of this command to remove a specified host.
Variations of this command include:
snmp-server user <username> <groupname> v1
snmp-server user <username> <groupname> v1 access <listname>
snmp-server user <username> <groupname> v2c
snmp-server user <username> <groupname> v2c access <listname>
snmp-server user <username> <groupname> v3
snmp-server user <username> <groupname> v3 access <listname>

Note
If password encryption is used, the running-config changes to include the key-word
encrypted before each password entry. See the service password-encryption command.

Specifies an access control list entry.
Specifies the name of the group the user belongs to.
Specifies the name of the user.
Uses SNMP version 1 security model.
Uses SNMP version 2c security model.
Uses SNMP version 3 (user-based security model).

Global Configuration Mode Command Set
Indicates that authentication is used.
Use the CBC-DES privacy authentication algorithm.
Uses the HMAC-MD5-96 authentication level.
Indicates that privacy authentication is used.
Uses the HMAC-SHA-96 authentication level.
A password string used to build the key for the
authentication level.
