frame-relay lmi-type [ansi | auto | cisco | none | q933a]
Use the frame-relay lmi-type command to define the Frame Relay signaling (LMI) type. Use the no form
of the command to return to the default value.

Default Values
By default, the Frame Relay signaling type is set to ansi.
Usage Examples
The following example sets the signaling method for the endpoint to cisco:
ProCurve(config)#interface frame-relay 1
ProCurve(config-fr 1)#frame-relay lmi-type cisco

Specifies Annex D signaling method (based on ANSI T1.617 standard for Frame
Relay).
Automatically determines signaling type by messages received on the frame
circuit.
Specifies Cisco LMI signaling method (reserves DLCI 1023).
Turns off signaling on the endpoint. This is used for backup connections.
Specifies Annex A signaling method (based on the ITU-T Q.933A frame format for
Frame Relay).
