The initial value of these bits is undefined. They
must be initialized by writing 0 or 1.
Data Length Code
Set the data length of a data frame or the data
length requested in a remote frame within the
range of 0 to 8 bits.
0000: 0 byte
0001: 1 byte
0010: 2 bytes
0011: 3 bytes
0100: 4 bytes
0101: 5 bytes
0110: 6 bytes
0111: 7 bytes
1000: 8 bytes
1***: 8 bytes
The initial value of these bits is undefined; they
must be initialized by writing 0 or 1.
Sets ID-20 to ID-18 in the identifier.
Remote Transmission Request
Used to distinguish between data frames and
remote frames.
0: Data frame
1: Remote frame
Identifier Extension
Used to distinguish between the standard format
and extended format of data frames and remote
frames.
0: Standard format
1: Extended format
The initial value of this bit is undefined. It must be
initialized by writing 0 or 1.
Sets ID-17 and ID-16 in the identifier.
