9. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
7. Check for continuity between the TCS OFF switch
5P connector terminal No. 2 and the gauge control
m o d u l e connector B (30P) t e r m i n a l No. 7.

Y E S — G o t o step 8.
NO—Repair open in the w i r e between the TCS OFF
switch and the gauge control m o d u l e connector B
(30P).
8. Check for continuity between the TCS OFF switch
5P connector terminal No. 2 and body g r o u n d .

continuity?
YES—Repair short in the w i r e between the TCS
OFF switch 5P connector t e r m i n a l No. 2 and the
gauge control module. •
N O — G o t o step 9.
10. Measure the voltage between the TCS OFF switch
5P connector terminal No. 1 and body g r o u n d .

Is there less than 0.1 V?
Y E S — G o t o step 11.
NO—Repair open in the w i r e between the TCS OFF
switch and body g r o u n d ( G 5 0 D . B
11. Substitute a k n o w n - g o o d ABS/TCS modulator-
control unit.
12. Reconnect all of the disconnected connectors.
13. Clear the DTC using the HDS (see page 19-35).
14. D i s c o n n e c t t h e H D S f r o m t h e 16P D L C .
15. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then turn it ON (II)
again.
16. Test-drive the vehicle.
Does the TCS activation
indicator
go
off?
YES—Replace the ABS/TCS modulator-control
u n i t . H
NO—Check for loose t e r m i n a l s in the gauge control
module connectors. If necessary, substitute a
k n o w n - g o o d gauge control m o d u l e , and recheck. •
