14. Attach the fasteners (A) w i t h adhesive tape to the
rear w i n d o w opening flange (B) of the body on both
sides.
Fasteners adhesive tape:
Thickness 0.8 mm (0.031 in.)
Width 9 mm (0.35 in.)
15. Set the rear w i n d o w in the opening, and center it.
Make a l i g n m e n t marks (A) across the rear w i n d o w
and body w i t h a grease pencil at the four points
s h o w n . Make sure both upper clips (B) are in the
body holes. Be careful not to touch the rear w i n d o w
where adhesive will be applied.
16. Remove the rear w i n d o w .
17. With a sponge, apply a light coat of glass primer
along the edge of the rear w i n d o w (A) between the
dams (B) and m o l d i n g (C) as s h o w n , then lightly
w i p e it off w i t h gauze or cheesecloth:
• Do not apply body primer to the rear w i n d o w ,
and do not get body and glass primer sponges
mixed up.
• Never touch the p r i m e d surfaces w i t h your hands.
If y o u do, the adhesive may not bond to the rear
w i n d o w properly, causing a leak after the rear
w i n d o w is installed.
• Keep water, dust, and abrasive materials away
f r o m the p r i m e d surfaces.
