Special Tools Required
• T h r e a d e d adapter, 2 4 x 1.5 m m 07XAC-001020A
• Boot band pincers, c o m m e r c i a l l y available
• Slide h a m m e r 5/8" x 18 UNF, c o m m e r c i a l l y available
Inboard Joint Side
1. Remove the set ring f r o m the inboard joint.
Remove the boot bands. Be careful not to damage
the boot.
• If the boot band is a w e l d e d type (A), cut the boot
band (B).
• If the boot band is a double loop type (C), lift up
the band end (D), and push it into the clip (E).
• If the boot band is a l o w profile type (F), pinch the
boot band using c o m m e r c i a l l y available boot
band pincers (G).
