ABS Main Control
The ABS/TCS control unit detects the wheel speed based on the wheel sensor signals it receives, then calculates the
vehicle speed based on the detected w h e e l speed. The control unit detects the vehicle speed d u r i n g deceleration
based on the rate of deceleration.
The ABS/TCS control unit calculates the slip rate of each w h e e l , and it transmits the control signal to the m o d u l a t o r
unit solenoid valve w h e n the slip rate is high.
The pressure reduction control has three modes: Pressure reducing, pressure retaining, and pressure intensifying.

TCS Main Control
The ABS/TCS control unit controls the TCS based on signal inputs f r o m the accelerator pedal position sensor, engine
speed, shifter position, and the wheel sensors. In addition, the ABS/TCS control unit sends an engine retard request
signal to the PCM if necessary. The pressure intensifying control has three modes: Pressure intensifying, pressure
retaining, and pressure reducing.
