Creep Aid System (CAS)
The CAS keeps the brakes applied during auto idle stop. This prevents the vehicle f r o m rolling f o r w a r d or backward
w h i l e the driver releases the brake pedal (to press the accelerator pedal) and the engine starts.
W h e n the master cylinder pressure is reduced rapidly w i t h the vehicle stopped in auto idle stop, the ABS/TCS
modulator-control unit drives the CAS regulator valve in the ABS/TCS modulator-control unit to retain the brake fluid
pressure for the brake calipers. The brake fluid pressure is reduced gradually while the CAS regulator valve is
operating.
The CAS stops controlling the brake fluid pressure w h e n the brake fluid pressure is less than the specified value or
specified operation period of the CAS regulator valve elapses.
