1. Install a new set ring in the set ring groove of the
driveshaft (left driveshaft).
2. A p p l y 0.5—1.0 g (0.02—0.04 oz) of the supplied
grease to the w h o l e splined surface (A) of the right
driveshaft. After applying grease, remove the
grease f r o m the splined g r o o v e s at intervals of
2—3 splines and f r o m the set ring groove (B) so
that air can bleed f r o m the intermediate shaft.
3. Clean the areas w h e r e the driveshaft contacts the
differential t h o r o u g h l y w i t h solvent or brake
cleaner, and dry w i t h compressed air. Insert the
inboard end (A) of the driveshaft into the
differential (B) or intermediate shaft (C) until the
new set ring (D) locks in the groove (E).

4. Install the outboard joint (A) into the front hub (B).
