Front and Rear Suspension
W h e e l B e a r i n g E n d P l a y I n s p e c t i o n
1. Raise the vehicle, and support it w i t h safety stands
in the proper locations (see page 1-7).
2. Remove the wheels, then reinstall the wheel nuts
(A), and torque to the specified torque.
Front
A
1 0 8 N - m
( 1 1 . 0 k g f m , 7 9 . 6 Ibf-ft)
3. Attach the dial gauge. Place the dial gauge against
the hub flange.
Front/Rear:
Standard: 0—0.05 mm (0—0.002 in.)
4. Measure the bearing end play m o v i n g the brake
disc i n w a r d and o u t w a r d .
5. If the bearing end play m e a s u r e m e n t is more than
the standard, replace the w h e e l bearing.
W h e e l R u n o u t I n s p e c t i o n
NOTE: W h e n measuring the front wheel runout, turn
the other side of the wheel slowly by hand.
1. Raise the vehicle, and support it w i t h safety stands
in the proper locations (see page 1-7).
2. Check for a bent or d e f o r m e d w h e e l .
3. Set up the dial gauge as s h o w n , and measure the
axial runout by t u r n i n g the w h e e l .
Front and rear wheel axial runout:
Standard:
0—0.7 mm (0—0.03 in.)
Service limit: 2.0 mm (0.08 in.)
