DTC 121,122,123,124: TCS Solenoid
1. Clear the DTC using the HDS (see page 19-35).
2. Disconnect the HDS f r o m the 16PDLC.
3. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then turn it ON (II)
again.
4. Test-drive the vehicle.
Does the TCS indicator
come on, and is DTC 121,
122, 123, or 124
indicated?
Y E S — C h e c k for loose terminals in the ABS/TCS
control unit 47P connector. If necessary, substitute
a k n o w n - g o o d ABS/TCS modulator-control unit,
and recheck. •
NO—Intermittent failure; the system is OK at this
t i m e . B

T r o u b l e s h o o t i n g
A B S indicator does not come on
1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and w a t c h the ABS
indicator.
Does the ABS indicator
come on for
several
seconds?
Y E S — T h e system is OK at this t i m e . •
NO—Go to step 2.
2. Do the gauge control m o d u l e self-diagnosis
function procedure (see page 22-226).
Is the gauge control module
OK?
Y E S — G o t o s t e p 3 .
NO—Replace the gauge control m o d u l e (see page
22-235). •
3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
4. Substitute a k n o w n - g o o d ABS/TCS modulator-
control unit.
5. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Does the ABS indicator
come on ?
Y E S — R e p l a c e the ABS/TCS modulator-control unit
(see page 19-79). •
NO—Check for loose t e r m i n a l s in the gauge control
m o d u l e connectors. If connections are g o o d ,
replace the gauge control m o d u l e . •
