DTC B1157: Gauge Control Module Lost
Communication with Multiplex Integrated
Control Unit (MICU)
1. Clear the DTCs using the HDS.
2. Cycle the ignition switch t o OFF and then back O N .
3. Check for DTCs by selecting the DTCs MENU
(DTCs) f r o m the HDS.
Is DTCB1157 indicated?
Y E S — G o t o step 4.
NO—Intermittent failure. The gauge control system
is OK at this t i m e . Check pinfits and connections. •
4. Check for DTCs by selecting the DTCs MENU
(DTCs) f r o m the HDS.
Are DTCs B1055 and B1255 also indicated?
Y E S — G o t o Multiplex Integrated Control Unit Input
Test (see page 22-116). •
NO—Go to Gauge Control M o d u l e Input Test
(see page 22-119). •
DTC B1158: Gauge Control Module Lost
Communication with Relay Module
1. Clear the DTCs using the HDS.
2. Cycle the ignition switch to OFF and then back O N .
3. Check for DTCs by selecting the DTCs M E N U
(DTCs) f r o m the HDS.
Is DTC B1158 indicated?
Y E S — G o t o step 4.
NO—Intermittent failure. The gauge control system
is OK at this t i m e . Check pinfits and connections. •
4. Check for DTCs by the DTCs MENU (DTCs) of the
HDS.
Is DTC B1005 also indicated?
Y E S — G o to Relay Control Module Input Test
(see page 22-123). •
NO—Go to Gauge Control Module Input Test
(see page 22-119). •
