8. Check for continuity between body g r o u n d and
audio-HVAC display panel connector A (22P)
terminals No. 2, 10, 15, 20, and 22 individually.

continuity?
Y E S — R e p a i r any short to body g r o u n d in the
wire(s) between the audio-HVAC display panel and
the passenger's air mix control motor. •
N O — G o t o step 9.
9. Check for continuity between the terminals of
audio-HVAC display panel connector A (22P) as
follows.

Is there continuity
between
any of the
terminals?
Y E S — R e p a i r the short in the wires. •
NO—Go to step 10.
10. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and check the same
terminals for voltage.

Is there any
voltage?
Y E S — R e p a i r any short to power in the wire(s)
between the audio-HVAC display panel and the
passenger's air m i x control motor. This short may
also damage the audio-HVAC display panel. Repair
the short to power before replacing the
audio-HVAC display panel. •
NO—Check for loose w i r e or poor connections at
audio-HVAC display panel connector A (22P) and at
the passenger's air m i x control m o t o r IP connector.
If the connections are g o o d , substitute a
k n o w n - g o o d audio-HVAC display panel, and
recheck. If the s y m p t o m / i n d i c a t i o n goes away,
replace the original audio-HVAC display panel. •
