SRS c o m p o n e n t s are located in this area. Review the
SRS c o m p o n e n t locations (see page 24-11) and the
precautions and procedures (see page 24-13) before
p e r f o r m i n g repairs or service.
NOTE:
• Put on gloves to protect y o u r hands.
• Take care not to scratch the body and related parts.
1. Remove these items f r o m the left side of the
vehicle:
• Front door sill t r i m (see page 20-45)
• Rear door sill t r i m (see page 20-46)
• B-pillar lower t r i m (see page 20-48)
• Rear seat-back and seat cushion (see page 20-95)
• Trunk side t r i m panel, left side (see page 20-53)
• Trunk lid t r i m (see page 20-55)
2. Pull back the carpet as necessary.
3. Release the trunk lid opener/fuel fill door opener
cable (A) f r o m the clip (B). Remove the cushion
tape (C).

4. Remove the fuel fill door latch (A) by t u r n i n g it 90 °,
and detach the opener cable junction box (B) f r o m
the body.

5. Disconnect the trunk lid opener cable (C) f r o m the
trunk lid latch (D) (see page 20-132).
6. Using a clip remover, detach clip (E). Release the
trunk lid opener/fuel fill door opener cable f r o m the
clips (F, G).
7. Remove the trunk lid opener/fuel fill door opener
cable f r o m the vehicle. Take care not to bend or
kink the cable.
