Front and Rear Door Position
Adjustment (cont'd)
Rear door
29 N m (3.0 k g f m , 22 Ibfft)
3. If necessary, replace the door m o u n t i n g bolts (F)
w i t h the adjusting bolts (P/N 90102-SFA-305) made
specifically for door adjustment, then adjust at the
door: Loosen the adjusting bolts slightly, m o v e the
door in or out until it's flush w i t h the body, and up
or d o w n as necessary to equalize the gaps.
4. Check that the door and body edges are parallel. If
necessary, adjust the door cushions (A) to make the
rear of the doors flush w i t h the body.
5. A p p l y touch-up paint to the hinge m o u n t i n g bolts,
and a r o u n d the hinges.
6. Check for water leaks (see step 7 on page 20-25).
7. Test-drive and check for w i n d noise.
8. Reinstall all remaining r e m o v e d parts.
Front and Rear Door Striker
Adjustment
Make sure the door latches securely w i t h o u t s l a m m i n g
it. If necessary, adjust the striker (A): The striker can be
adjusted slightly up or d o w n , and in or out.
1. Loosen the screws (B), then insert a shop t o w e l (C)
between the body and striker.
2. Lightly tighten the screws.
3. W r a p the striker w i t h a shop t o w e l , then adjust the
striker by tapping it w i t h a plastic h a m m e r (D). Do
not tap the striker too hard.
4. Loosen the screws, and r e m o v e the shop t o w e l .
5. Lightly tighten the screws.
6. Hold the outer handle out, and push the door
against the body to be sure the striker allows a
flush fit. If the door latches properly, tighten the
screws and recheck.
