Radiator and A / C Condenser Fan Low Speed Circuit Troubleshooting

9. Reinstall the A/C condenser fan relay.
10. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
11. Using the backprobe set, measure the voltage
between the PCM connector E (31P) and terminal
No. 6 body g r o u n d w i t h the PCM connectors
connected.

Is there battery
voltage?
YES—Check for loose w i r e s or poor connections at
PCM connector A (31P) t e r m i n a l No. 6. If the
connections are g o o d , substitute a k n o w n - g o o d
PCM, and recheck. If the s y m p t o m / i n d i c a t i o n goes
away, replace the original PCM, then perform the
PCM idle learn procedure (see page 1 1 - 3 4 0 ) . •
NO—Repair open in the w i r e between the A/C
condenser fan relay and the P C M . B
12. Disconnect the j u m p e r w i r e .
13. Reinstall the A/C condenser fan relay.
14. Disconnect the A/C condenser fan 2P connector.
15. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), then turn the A/C
and fan control buttons O N .
16. Measure the voltage between the A/C condenser
fan 2P connector terminal No. 2 and body g r o u n d .
A / C CONDENSER FAN 2P CONNECTOR
BLU/YEL
Wire side of female terminals
Is there battery
voltage?
YES—Go to step 17.
NO—Repair open in the w i r e between the A/C
condenser fan relay and the A/C condenser fan. •
17. Push the OFF button, then t u r n the ignition switch
OFF.
18. Reconnect the A/C condenser fan 2P connector.
19. Connect the A/C condenser fan 2P connector
terminal No. 1 to body g r o u n d w i t h a j u m p e r w i r e .
A/C CONDENSER FAN 2P CONNECTOR
WHT/RED
JUMPER WIRE
Wire side of female terminals
20. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), then push the A/C
and fan control buttons O N .
Does the A/C condenser
fan
run?
Y E S — G o t o step 2 1 .
NO—Replace the A/C condenser fan motor. •
