9. Check for continuity between ATFP control unit

11. Clear the DTC w i t h the HDS.
12. W a r m up the engine to n o r m a l operating
temperature (the radiator fan comes on).
13. Drive the vehicle in the D position. S l o w d o w n and
stop the wheels in auto idle stop.
14. M o n i t o r the OBD status for P1903 in the DTCs/
Freeze Data in A/T Mode Menu for a pass/fail.
Does the result indicate a pass?
Y E S — T h e p r o b l e m has been corrected. •
NO—Return to step 6 and recheck.
Is there continuity?
Y E S — G o t o step 10.
NO—Repair an open in the w i r e between ATFP
control unit connector terminal No. 2 and the ATFP
motor connector, then go to step 11.
10. Check for continuity between ATFP m o t o r
connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3.

Is there continuity?
Y E S — R e p l a c e the ATFP control unit (see page
14-229), then go to step 11.
NO—Replace the ATFP (see page 14-228), then go
to step 11.
