Keyless Entry System
The keyless entry system is integrated w i t h the MICS. The multiplex integrated control unit (MICU) receives LOCK,
UNLOCK and PANIC signals f r o m the door multiplex control unit (keyless receiver).
The keyless entry system allows y o u to lock and unlock the vehicle w i t h the remote transmitter. W h e n y o u press the
LOCK button, all doors lock. W h e n y o u press the UNLOCK button once, only the driver's door unlocks. The other doors
w i l l unlock w h e n y o u press the button a second t i m e . The doors w i l l not lock w i t h the remote transmitter if a door is
not fully closed, or if the key is in the ignition switch.
If the UNLOCK button is pressed, released, then pressed and held, the w i n d o w s will begin to open. The w i n d o w s stop
if the button is released. See power w i n d o w s for more information and t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g .
W h e n the switch for the ceiling light is in the center position, it will come on w h e n the UNLOCK button is pressed. If a
door is not opened, the light w i l l go off in about 30 seconds, and the doors w i l l relock. If the doors are locked w i t h the
remote transmitter w i t h i n 30 seconds, the light w i l l go off immediately.
