Exterior Lights
D T C T r o u b l e s h o o t i n g
DTC B1075: Headlight Signal Error
1. Clear the DTCs using the HDS.
2. Turn the headlights switch f r o m the OFF position to
the ON position.
3. Check for DTCs using the HDS.
Is DTC B1075 indicated?
YES—Go to step 4.
NO—Intermittent failure, the headlight circuit is OK
at this time. Check pinfits and connections. •
4. W i t h the headlight switch OFF, select LIGHTING
SYSTEM f r o m the HDS, and enter the DATA LIST.
5. Check the ON/OFF information of the Headlight
Switch (BACK-UP) in the DATA LIST.
is the information indicator OFF?
YES—Go to step 6.
NO—Go to step 10.
6. Turn the headlight switch O N .
7. Check the ON/OFF i n f o r m a t i o n of the Headlight
Switch (BACK-UP) in the DATA LIST.
Is the information indicator ON?

N O — G o t o step 8.
8. Disconnect the relay control m o d u l e 10P connector
(under-hood fuse/relay box connector I) and the
wiper/washer switch 8P connector.
9. Check for continuity between the No. 6 terminal of
the relay control module 10P connector and the
No. 1 terminal of the w i p e r / w a s h e r switch
(combination switch control unit) 8P connector.

Is there continuity?
YES—Faulty c o m b i n a t i o n switch control unit-
replace the wiper/washer switch. •
NO—Repair an open in the W H T w i r e . •
10. Disconnect the relay control module 10P connector.
11. Check for continuity between the No. 6 terminal of
the relay control module 10P connector I and body
g r o u n d .

YES—Repair a short in the W H T w i r e . •
NO—Faulty c o m b i n a t i o n switch control unit-
replace the wiper/washer switch. •
