DTC B1005: MICU Lost Communication w i t h
Relay Control Module
1. Clear the DTCs using the HDS.
2. Cycle the ignition switch to OFF and then back O N .
3. Check for DTCs using the HDS.
Is DTC B1005 indicated?
Y E S — G o t o step 4.
NO—Intermittent failure, the relay module is OK at
this t i m e . Check for loose or poor connections. If
the connections are g o o d , check the battery
c o n d i t i o n {see page 22-71) and the charging
s y s t e m . •
4. Check for DTCs in the gauge control m o d u l e using
the HDS.
Is DTC B1158 also indicated?
YES—Go to Relay Control M o d u l e Input Test
(see page 22-123). •
NO—Check for an open in the c o m m u n i c a t i o n
circuit between the MICU and the relay control
m o d u l e . If the circuit is OK, replace the MICU. If the
circuit is bad, repair the o p e n . H
DTC B1006: MICU Lost Communication w i t h
Door Multiplex Control Unit (Door Lock
Switch Message)
1. Clear the DTCs using the HDS.
2. Cycle the ignition switch to OFF and then back O N .
3. Check for DTCs using the HDS.
Is DTC B1006 indicated?
Y E S - G o t o step 4.
NO—Intermittent failure, the door multiplex control
unit is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor
connections. If the connections are g o o d , check the
battery condition (see page 22-71) and the charging
system. •
4. Check for DTCs in the gauge control m o d u l e and
relay m o d u l e using the HDS.
Are DTCs B1160 and B1058 also indicated?
YES—Go to Door Multiplex Control Unit Input Test
(see page 2 2 - 1 2 0 ) . •
NO—Check for an open in the c o m m u n i c a t i o n
circuit between the MICU and the door multiplex
control unit. If the circuit is OK, replace the MICU. If
the circuit is bad, repair the o p e n . B
