Rear Suspension
S t a b i l i z e r L i n k R e m o v a l / I n s t a l l a t i o n
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle, and support it w i t h
safety stands in the proper locations (see page 1-7).
2. Remove the rear wheels.
3. Remove the self-locking nut (A) and flange nut (B)
w h i l e holding the respective joint pin (C) w i t h a hex
wrench (D), and remove the stabilizer link (E).
4. Install the stabilizer link (A) on the stabilizer bar (B)
and stabilizer link bracket (C) w i t h the joint pins set
at the center of their range of the m o v e m e n t .
6. Place a jack under the knuckle, and raise the
suspension to load it w i t h the vehicle's weight.
7. Tighten the self-locking nut (A) and flange nut (B) to
the specified torque values w h i l e holding the
respective joint pins (C) w i t h a hex wrench (D).
8. After 5 minutes of d r i v i n g , tighten the self-locking
nut again to the specified torque value.
NOTE: The left stabilizer link has a white paint mark
(D), while the right stabilizer link has a y e l l o w paint
mark.
5. Install the new self-locking nut and flange nut, and
lightly tighten t h e m .
NOTE: Use a new self-locking nut on reassembly.
