1. Remove the evaporator t e m p e r a t u r e sensor
(see page 21-78).
2. Dip the sensor in ice water, and measure the
resistance between its t e r m i n a l s .

3. Then pour w a r m water on the sensor, and check for
a change in resistance.
4. Compare the resistance readings w i t h the
specifications s h o w n in the g r a p h ; the resistance
should be w i t h i n the specifications.

5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the
evaporator temperature sensor (see page 21-78).
1. Open the glove box. Remove the d a m p e r f r o m the
glove box, then release the glove box stops and let
the glove box hang d o w n (see page 20-70).
2. Remove the relays (A) f r o m the bracket.

3. Disconnect the 2P connector (A) f r o m the
evaporator temperature sensor (B), then remove
the connector clip (C). Remove the self-tapping
screw, and carefully pull out the evaporator
temperature sensor.
4. Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
