8-Way Power Seat
SRS c o m p o n e n t s are located in this area. Review the SRS c o m p o n e n t locations (see page 24-11) and the precautions
and procedures (see page 24-13) before p e r f o r m i n g repairs or service.
NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.
1. Remove the front seat (see page 20-80).
2. Remove the seat-back cover/pad f r o m the seat-back f r a m e (see page 20-89).
3. Remove the recline motor (A).
- 1 Release the push nut (B) f r o m the motor side end of the connecting rod (C).
- 2 Gently tap on the m o t o r side of the connecting rod to remove it f r o m the recline motor and both recline
adjusters (D).
- 3 Remove the rod cover (E).
- 4 Remove the motor m o u n t i n g b o l t then remove the recline motor.
4. Install the m o t o r in the reverse order of r e m o v a l , and note these items:
• Replace the push nut w i t h a new one. Make sure the push nut is installed correctly.
• A p p l y liquid thread lock to the m o t o r m o u n t i n g bolt before reinstallation.
