NOTE:
• Do not use this troubleshooting procedure if the A/C
compressor is inoperative. Refer to the s y m p t o m
troubleshooting index.
• Before p e r f o r m i n g s y m p t o m t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g , check
for powertrain DTCs (see page 11-3).
1. Check the No. 9 (20 A) fuse in the under-hood
fuse/relay box, and the No. 30 (7.5 A) fuse in the
under-dash fuse/relay box.
Are the fuses OK?
Y E S — G o t o step 2.
NO—Replace the fuse(s), and r e c h e c k . •
2. Remove the A/C condenser fan relay f r o m the
under-hood fuse/relay box, and test it (see page
22-72).
Is the relay OK ?
YES — G o t o step 3.
NO—Replace the A/C condenser fan relay. •
3. Measure the voltage between the A/C condenser
fan relay 4P socket terminal No. 1 and body g r o u n d .

Is there battery voltage?
Y E S — G o t o step 4.
NO—Replace the under-hood fuse/relay box.I
4. Connect the A/C condenser fan relay 4P socket
terminals No. 1 and No. 2 w i t h a j u m p e r wire.

Do the A/C condenser and radiator fans run?
Y E S — G o t o step 5.
N O — G o t o step 12.
5. Disconnect the j u m p e r w i r e .
6. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
7. Measure the voltage between the A/C condenser
fan relay 4P socket terminal No. 3 and body g r o u n d .

N O — G o t o step 32.
8. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
