11. Remove the trailing a r m m o u n t i n g bolt (A) f r o m the
knuckle.
12 x 1.25 m m
59 N m (6.0 k g f m , 43 Ibfft)
13. Install the knuckle in the reverse order of removal,
and note these items:
• Be careful not to damage the ball j o i n t boot w h e n
connecting the upper a r m to the knuckle.
• Use a new lower a r m m o u n t i n g nut and control
arm m o u n t i n g nut on reassembly.
• Tighten the castle nut t o the lower torque value,
then tighten it only far enough to align the slot
w i t h the hole in the stud. Do not align the castle
nut by loosening it.
• Tighten all m o u n t i n g hardware t o the specified
torque values.
• Before installing the w h e e l , clean the mating
surface on the brake disc and the inside of the
w h e e l .
• Check the wheel alignment, and adjust it if
necessary (see page 18-7).
12. Remove the lower a r m m o u n t i n g bolt (A), and
remove the knuckle (B).
