A / C S i g n a l C i r c u i t T r o u b l e s h o o t i n g
NOTE:
• Do not use this troubleshooting procedure if any of
the f o l l o w i n g items are operative; A/C condenser fan,
radiator f a n , A/C compressor. Refer to the s y m p t o m
t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g index.
• Before p e r f o r m i n g s y m p t o m t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g , check
for powertrain DTCs (see page 11-3).
1. Check for body DTCs using B-CAN system
diagnosis test mode A troubleshooting (see page
22-84).
Are there any DTCs
indicated?
YES—Do the appropriate troubleshooting for the
DTC i n d i c a t e d . •
N O — G o t o step 2.
2. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
3. Disconnect audio-HVAC display panel connector A
(22P).
4. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
5. Measure the voltage between the No. 5 terminal of
audio-HVAC display panel connector A (22P) and
body g r o u n d .

6. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
7. Measure the evaporator temperature sensor
resistance between the No. 14 and No. 15 terminals
of audio-HVAC display panel connector A (22P).

Y E S — G o t o step 8.
NO—Test the evaporator temperature sensor
(see page 21-78). •
8. Reconnect audio-HVAC display panel connector A
(22P).
9. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
10. Check that blower motor operates at all speeds.
Does the blower motor operate at all
speeds?
YES—Check for loose w i r e s or poor connections at
audio-HVAC display panel connector A (22P). If the
connections are g o o d , substitute a k n o w n - g o o d
audio-HVAC display panel and recheck. If the
s y m p t o m / i n d i c a t i o n goes away, replace the
original audio-HVAC display panel. •
NO—Repair the p r o b l e m in the blower m o t o r
circuit. •
Y E S — G o t o step 6.
NO—Repair open in the w i r e between the relay
control m o d u l e panel and the audio-HVAC display
panel. •
