Front and Rear Suspension
W h e e l A l i g n m e n t ( c o n t ' d )
Camber Inspection
Use c o m m e r c i a l l y available computerized four w h e e l
a l i g n m e n t e q u i p m e n t t o measure w h e e l alignment
(caster, camber, toe, and t u r n i n g angle). Follow the
e q u i p m e n t manufacturer's instructions.
1. Check the camber angle.
Camber angle:
Front:
0 ° 0 0 ' ± 4 5 '
Maximum difference between the right and left
side: 0 ° 45 '
Rear:
— 1 ° 0 0 ' ± 3 0 '
2. If out of specification, check f o r bent or damaged
suspension components.
Front Toe Inspection/Adjustment
Use c o m m e r c i a l l y available computerized four wheel
alignment e q u i p m e n t to measure w h e e l alignment
(caster, camber, toe, and t u r n i n g angle). Follow the
e q u i p m e n t manufacturer's instructions.
1. Center the steering wheel spokes and install a
steering wheel holder t o o l .
2. Check the toe. The left and right side should be
equal.
Front toe-in:
0 ± 2 mm ( 0 ± 1 / 1 6 in.)
• If no adjustment is required, remove the
alignment equipment.
• If adjustment is required, go to step 3.
3. Loosen the tie-rod locknuts (A) w h i l e holding the
flat surface sections (B) of the tie-rod end w i t h a
w r e n c h , and turn both rack ends (C) until the front
toe is w i t h i n specifications.

4. After adjusting, tighten the tie-rod locknuts.
Reposition the rack-rod boot if it is t w i s t e d or
displaced.
