R e c i r c u l a t i o n C o n t r o l M o t o r
R e p l a c e m e n t
1. Open the glove box. Remove the damper f r o m the
glove box, then release the glove box stops and let
the glove box hang d o w n (see page 20-70).
2. Remove the relays (A) f r o m the bracket.

3. Disconnect the 7P connector (A) f r o m the
recirculation control motor (B). Remove the self-
tapping screws and the recirculation control m o t o r
f r o m the blower unit.

4. Install the m o t o r in the reverse order of removal.
Make sure the pin on the m o t o r is properly
engaged w i t h the linkage. After installation, make
sure the m o t o r runs smoothly.

D u s t a n d P o l l e n Filter R e p l a c e m e n t
The dust and pollen filter should be replaced every
30,000 miles (48,000 km) or 24 m o n t h s , whichever
comes first. Replace the filter more often if the airflow is
less than usual, or if the vehicle is driven in areas that
have high concentrations of soot f r o m industry or
diesel p o w e r e d vehicles.
1. Open the glove box. Remove the d a m p e r f r o m the
glove box then let the glove box hang d o w n
(see page 20-70).
2. Remove the dust and pollen filter assembly f r o m
the evaporator case.
3. Remove the filter (A) f r o m the housing (B), and
replace the filter.
4. Install the filter in the reverse order of removal.
Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the
evaporator.
