D r i v e r ' s W i n d o w M o t o r T e s t
Motor Test
1. Remove the driver's door panel (see page 20-7).
2. Disconnect the 6P connector (A) f r o m the w i n d o w
motor.

Pulser Test
5. Reconnect the 6P connector to the w i n d o w motor.
6. Check for voltage between the terminals.
• There should be battery voltage between the
No. 6 ( + ) and No. 5.(—) terminals w h e n the
ignition switch is ON (II).
• Connect an analog voltmeter between the No. 2
( + ) and No. 5 (—) terminals, and run the w i n d o w
m o t o r d o w n or up. The v o l t m e t e r needle should
m o v e back and forth alternately (a digital
voltmeter should s h o w the average voltage
between 0—5 V).
• Connect an analog voltmeter between the No. 3
( + ) and No. 5 (—) terminals, and run the w i n d o w
m o t o r at d o w n or up. The v o l t m e t e r needle
should m o v e back and forth alternately.
If the voltage is not as specified, replace the driver's
w i n d o w motor.
3. Test the m o t o r in each direction by connecting
battery power and ground according to the table.
W h e n the m o t o r stops running, disconnect one
lead immediately.

4. If the motor does not run or fails to run s m o o t h l y ,
replace it.
