Introduction
Monitored interfaces must be enabled in order for counts to increment.
Monitored interfaces must be configured with the number of buckets and intervals in which each bucket
collects data.
When performance measurements are enabled, they cannot generate traps or logs unless a threshold is set.

7.5.5.4 Feature Interactions

Enabled ports for statistics are persistent over reboots and restarts.
After a CFC swap of activity on a duplex system or a SM Restart on a simplex or duplex system, disregard the
first interval of RMON statistics.

7.5.6 Configuring RMON Ethernet Statistics

To enable Ethernet statistics on an interface, follow these steps:
Select an Ethernet interface.
Turn the counter option ON.
Set the rising and falling threshold values for the interface with the PACKETS parameter.
Query the current counters.
